@ShinigamiKage I didn't say the Israel lobby didn't have pull. I'm questioning your assertion they have significant control over our media and politicians. If you were correct, then we wouldn't put restraints on Israel or expect them to suck up the missle attacks without retaliating, and the only pro-Israel media I see is Fox News and they don't need to be pressured or bought. Mainstream media is? not pro Israel....not even in Israel.

@ShinigamiKage Israelis are not oppressing Palestinians. Fellow Palestinians are oppressing them. As for their land, since when? was it their's? When their fellow Arabs kicked them out of Jordan and killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, no one was talking about their land and oppression. The UN is as corrupt as the Arab countries they Kowtow to. As for the Israeli lobby controlling our media and politicians...how does that work? Haven't seen signs of it lately.

@iuliusCamillus I don't believe anyone romanticizes Arab nationalism, and it's not the Zionism I find offensive, it's the oppression and occupation of Palestinian people and their land. Additionally, the Israeli lobby has significant control over US media so they're often in the news, and while we're on the topic UN Security Council Resolution 446 says? that the Israeli settlements have no legal grounds.

In 1948, 850,000 jews were expelled or encouraged to emigrate from Arab countries to Israel and their property confiscated. BTW, their are tiers of citizenship in Moslem countries too. Bigger question though: Why are so many people obsessed with Israel, a legitimate country by U.N. charter. Why is Zionism offensive but Arab nationalism romanticized?

@iuliusCamillus Did you know that there are different license plates in Israel? There are "Jewish" license plates which mean you are allowed to go anywhere, and there are "Arab" license plates which are restricted to only certain roads, and you can get arrested and/or a ticket/fine for driving on "Jewish" roads. There are tiers of citizenship, all Jewish citizens are automatically at the top tier and NONE of? the Arabs are up there.

@61talya Sounds like Netanyahu wasn't for the Oslo accords that were being pushed? by the Clinton administration - I would be uneasy with anything Warren Christopher was involved in. Netanyahu wasn't mocking America, he just stated confidence in the American people's support of Israel. He compromised in Hebron and the Likud also adopted land for peace policy which hasn't stopped the Palestinians from attacking Israel with missiles. I don't understand what Israel is supposed to do.

They elected a Hamas government and can't seem to understand how lobbing missiles? into Israel every day is a bad idea. Why don't their Arab brothers invest their money constructively instead of using the Palestinians against Israel? Arabs do live peacefully in Israel and are free to worship, work and participate politically.
