Modern life is pretty confusing. Earlier generations felt like they? had direction, because there wasn't so much cultural neurotic bullshit and less of a consumer mindset. People need to at large feel like there is some direction, advancement, evolution and development going on if they aren't in control, instead of the regression of the past few decades. Oh and commercialized technology, culture and media is dumbing us down both in our intelligence and emotional maturity. Just my opinion.
