this is sad. Family guy has to be the worst offender in terms of making fun of HIV. But what does it matter, if you're unlucky enough to get it, there's nothing to do but either come out about it and be known for having it or living in silence and fear of every moment it becomes? a barrier or burden in life.

I am HIV positive and I do find humour to be one of the best ways of educating my peers. I am very forthcoming about my sero-status and have no problems even laughing about it from time to time. I find that humour tends to make people? more at ease and willing to ask probing questions about HIV. If humour helps get people talking about HIV and prevents others from getting it, then I will continue to laugh in the face of HIV.
